So, it’s been two weeks since my last workout recap. I will admit: I waffled a bit from my goal in the past couple of weeks. One day I decided to do a Jillian DVD in the basement (Killer Buns & Thighs, to be exact) with the easiest modifications. For my next workout, I decided a 30-min elliptical session wouldn’t kill me. Then all of the sudden I was doing a circuit training session at the gym (minus a cardio piece). And on Tuesday I found myself burpee-ing in the basement along with Jillian.
My thought process was: I gave myself an entire month’s worth of rest. My body has come down from the extreme stress it was feeling from over-exercising. So now I can add it back in at a reasonable level.
I don’t think that logic was completely out of whack, but I decided to re-visit some useful HA resources to confirm (like Ashley’s blog and this forum). And I decided… that I was wrong. I really need to stick to low-low-low-intensity until my body figures itself out. So, it’s back to walks and Yoga–although I might throw in a Blogilates ab workout every now and then.
Well, since I’m officially back to work, you may have noticed that the posting has significantly dropped off once again. I can’t guarantee posts won’t be sparse throughout this school year–after all, I’m a teacher over a blogger! However, you’ll hear from me time and again, so I hope you’ll click when you see a new post pop up
