For Your Perusal…

It’s moving day. And I’m up at 4:30am because I’m SO EXCITED. I thought I’d take the time to compile some interesting reads from the week for your perusal, just in case your weekend is not as busy as mine. (Although waking up this early has its benefits–I can make it to the 6am Kosama class now!)

This article about intuitive eating really hit home–especially the part about the “fear of fat.”

I’ve been using a food journal since 2007, and thought this post offerred some great tips. I think I want to start recording the “when, where, and why” also.

I had to remind myself of this last night after celebrating my mom’s birthday. YES, I tracked the big chunk of bread, two glasses of wine, ice cream, and sprinkles :-)

Those of you starting new routines (hello, January!) might be interested in these tips for staying motivated.

Amanda reminded me that sometimes the scale is not the best tool for measuring success, and made me glad that I’m focusing on body fat percentage instead.

Have I ever mentioned how much I like looking at Awkward Family Photos, too? But then I start to wonder if this one could qualify…

The Hearn family and our ridiculous amount of dogs.

I was inspired by this post and this post to create this delicious smoothie, chock-full of vitamin C:

Flu-Buster Smoothie

1 cup milk (of choice)

1/3 cup Greek yogurt

2 scoops vanilla protein powder

1 cup frozen pineapple

2 clementines (peeled, obviously!)

sprinkle of cinnamon

sprinkle of sweetener

handful of ice

I think this looks like killer workout, and I can’t want to try it. (You know I love anything with an obscene number of reps.)

I seriously cannot wait to try this Zucchini Oat Breakfast Loaf for breakfast. And, yes, you get to eat the whole thing.

Check out this conglomeration of workout videos on Youtube.

Well, time to get on with moving day. (Or, get it started. After all, it’s only 5:40am now. Geesh.) I think a power nap on our new couch may be in order this afternoon.

What was your favorite read of the week?
