I love blogging memes. So I was extra excited to find this 2012 Race Recap one by Katie at Peace, Love & Oats. But I also added a few of my own categories. Please. Indulge me as I relive 2012 in running.

Hottest race: Lenexa Freedom Run 10K (AND they ran out of water!) or All-Star 5K
Coldest race: Gobbler Grind Half-Marathon (the weather was PERFECT!)
Windiest race: I don’t remember any of the races being particularly windy–lucky me!
Wettest race: No rain for any races this year (phew!), but Rock the Parkway was really muggy.

Who: Mom (Mother’s Day), Amy (Hospital Hill), B (Freedom Run & All-Star 5K), Kelly (Waddell & Reed)
Acted as pacer: Zero (well, kind of with Kelly in the KC Half)
Races run without music: Six (during Rock the Parkway I listened to an audiobook)
Races run without Garmin: Nine (because I didn’t own it yet!)
Races run in costume: Zero
Favorite Medal: Waddell & Reed KC Half
Favorite Bib: I don’t remember bibs because I don’t save them. Maybe the KC Half again? If I remember correctly, it was pretty and colorful.

Highest mileage month: September (103.29 miles)
Longest run: 13.7 mi on Sept 15th
Most memorable run: This is a toss-up between my 10-miler in California, and my 8-miler along Lakeshore Dr. in Chicago.
